Transaction's month/year comparison report

I want to be able to easily compare fundraising in total and for a particular campaign month over month - and including month/year compared to another month/year - So... if I want to get a report of how we did for fundraising for the Rebuilding Campaign in 2023 - I can generate a transaction report, export it further to excel, and then sort it by date and hit empty rows under each month and then put into my excel spreadsheet a sum for each month - then I go back and grab the totals and put them someplace else. But what if I want to compare May donations to the Rebuilding Fund in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and see how they were totaling each year - it's a pain in the neck. So I need to be able to generate reports over multiple years and over multiple months at my choice - I could do that in easy clicks if Givebutter enabled its reports to be created that way. Otherwise I'm stuck in excel for a long time.
