Move Transaction between Campaigns

SO CLOSE -- this does not allow online transactions to be moved between campaigns. I would not mark this one complete (yet!). This is a big hang up for us and makes for more manual work. Can this be added to the roadmap?

Soooo close! Would love this to have an override feature, where an admin can decide whether they care about attendance and reporting staying intact.
We use an 'event' for our event sponsorships - it's the only way to control quantity per sponsorship level. But it's not a real event, so I have no problems if I have to move that sponsorship donation to the main event campaign.
Use case: Every event we do, we have sponsorships that include free tickets, etc. Naturally, I should do a bundle inside the main event campaign. But the latest releases on the event forms (Iframe within an iframe) provide such a bad visual experience (only 2.5 tickets available for viewing without scrolling), I have to keep event sponsorships separate. I don't really care about it as an event, it's just a way to control capacity to fulfill sponsorships.
But sponsors also want to be fundraisers! They want their sponsorship dollars to count towards their team totals, which we can't do unless they are in the main event campaign! It's definitely been a challenging year working through this and trying to keep sponsors happy.

I just tried to move one donation accidentally donated to our general account. It's not possible to move transacations that are already "assigned". Similarly, we went over our goal in another fundraiser and we would like to move the excess to our scholarship acct (at donoa r's request). It doesn't seem possible if donations were made to designated fund, intentional or accidental.

Jennifer Smith: Hey Jennifer! In order to move transactions between campaigns, you will need to update your account to use single-balance payouts. It's simple and free, and you can check out all the details about it in the changelog post here: https://community.givebutter.com/changelog/move-donations-between-campaigns
And don't hesitate to connect with our outstanding support team with any questions!

Tom Spindle Thank you, Tom! I'll try to do that when I get home later this week (I'm in Honduras, using some of the funds we raised through Give Butter to do our work with communities here :)
Joel Daniel Harris
Tom Spindle hello, I am confused by the wording of this option. When you select to "update all transactions in this plan" on a specific individual's transaction, does it update just the transactions in that campaign from that specific person, or does it update every single transaction in the campaign from everyone that donated to that campaign?
Tom Spindle
Hi Joel Daniel Harris! Recurring plans are associated with a specific person (donor), so updating all the transactions in a plan updates just those transactions from that person that are part of the selected recurring plan. Hope that helps!

Tom Spindle Can these transactions be moved if they're online transactions? And why is a single-balance payout feature required?
Tom Spindle
Marisa Peters: Great question! Yes, online transactions can be moved so long as they are not associated with events (ie, tickets). The single-balance model is what enables our system to maintain accurate payout balances when moving transactions between campaigns. That update is what made it possible to introduce the move transactions feature. Hope that helps!
