Households

Households are a way of organizing constituents into relationship-based groups.
This can be especially helpful to acknowledge more than one person (such as a couple) for a donation.
Features associated with households
- Connecting separate contacts into one “group”
- Ability for households to have different last names
- Mark what the relationship between contacts is (ex. Spouse, mother, sibling, etc.)
- Need to be able to designate between titles (Ex. Dr. Butter and Mrs. Butter)
- Head of household v. member of household (can be helpful to determine what order to address people in, for example when addressing a physical mailing)

This would be a significant benefit-- we receive support from many couples with different last names.

As a rural queer org--this is crucial for us in being able to make the switch over from NEON CRM to Givebutter. The majority of our constituents are in households with shared donation history and/or shared soft credits. Additionally, it's important for us to note the ways in which contacts are connected--ie a new donor is the mother of a board member, etc.
Without this feature, our transition to Givebutter is paused as it's impossible to import donor history & contacts in a way that's easeful and organized. We look forward to coming back when this feature is added!

It is crucial to add a field(s) for additional donor/spouse/partner name. It is important that every donor can be easily tracked and acknowledged. Frankly, for a newish platform I am surprised that this wasn't already factored in.
Thanks!
