I think partial refund at the ticket level is a definite must! Eg an order of two $20 tickets and you refund one.
I can understand where partial refund variable price is much more complex and would be a separate ask. Eg I sold a ticket for $25 but want to refund only $10 for a bad customer experience.

This is the single-most important wish list item for us. Most of our events are ticketed and people invariably buy for people who can't come or buy the wrong ticket type and need me to refund the difference. It's super inconvenient for the donor to have to redo the entire transaction from scratch and we've had some who simply don't, which means we all make less money. Please and thank you! <3

Please work on this feature asap. It has more votes than anything on your roadmap, and this has been a recurring issue for our small nonprofit, which hosts a lot of ticketed events where people inevitably need partial refunds.

I'm new to Givebutter but considering leaving because:
- of this missing feature
- it's been requested since 2021. Why wasn't it fixed shortly after launching tickets and getting this feedback from your users?
- There are 955 upvotes on it. This is more votes than any other feature, regardless of status (planned, in progress, or complete), currently in your roadmap!!
- In the age of AI development this feature should be doable even with a small software dev team.
- This is a major oversight for a critical feature to offering tickets. Not having this strangles any possibility of good customer service and can kill a potential major donor, like Christina Hall and others have given very reasonable, common examples.
- I haven't seen a response...
Please let us know.

This is a huge oversight.
This has put a very small nonprofit organization in a very difficult position - They do one event a year - the tickets to their event are $2500 each, the donor accidentally purchased two. Because we have to refund the full amount - instead of just one ticket - with the refund of $5k not gettting to them for 5-10 business days, asking them to cough up another $2500as well as asking them to re-fill out the form is just bad buisness.
I'm sure you can see how that this will start the event out on a sour note for this donor.

Very Surprised this has not already been implemented!!!

Unbelievable that this functionality is nonexistent! Echoing, EMILE MOURED:
"Ditto. This is a super easy fix -- to allow for a partial reassignment. Having to remedy this by canceling a donation and having the donors resubmit is a goat rope."

Also...this has been on the list going on FIVE YEARS?!

This feature is long overdue... please prioritize partial refunds!
Without the ability to issue partial refunds, we are forced into awkward and risky workarounds. cancelling full transactions and hoping donors will resubmit. That negatively impacts trust, service, and revenue.
Partial refunds are a standard expectation on nearly every modern fundraising and ticketing platform. This fix would immediately resolve TONS of ongoing issues with ticket changes, donation adjustments, etc.
Our teams want to keep supporters happy. Please help us do that by implementing partial refunds as soon as possible.
Thank you for listening and helping us better serve our communities!
