Add Fair Market Value to Donations

There is currently no option to directly add Fair Market Value (FMV) to donations, which affects the calculation of tax-deductible amounts. It would be helpful to have the ability to add FMV to donations, similar to how it is done for tickets and auction items, to ensure accurate tax receipts for donors.

Yes, we want to be able to do a campaign selling items (such as sweatshirts, etc) that is independent of an event or auction, and for us to stay within the law, we really need the FMV feature to accompany this. It should be something where you can add it to any donation to reflect what they may get with that donation.

Agreed, even having a simple FMV field available when adding an offline transaction would do the trick!

Kevin Replinger, you did something similar with adding FMV to auction items so do you happen to know if this is in the queue for adding a FMV field as part of offline transactions that are entered?

Yes, it would be great to have this for donations. We are an Org that also hosts trips for our donors, and would like to track this information in our database. It would be nice to be able to include the FMV for this.
