Matching Donors/Sponsors

Double donations or maybe multiply donations by X up to X amount. We get donors who commit to match every donation up to X dollars, so basically every donation would be doubled on the campaign thermometer until the match was met. Would want to be able to add multiple matching donors/sponsors to a campaign. We've never done this, but the idea with it being Multiply vs Double is maybe a donor would commit to triple a donation (or a different multiple) up to X amount.
Would want to have the matching donors featured on the campaign page and fundraising pages along with their own thermometer of how much of their match had been used and how much is left.

Currently, we have added a custom field for each campaign to ask if a donor has submitted their donation to their company gift matching. This is obviously very manual and we are having to keep a spreadsheet of any of these that come in so that we can cross-reference. Most companies require our approval to confirm we've received the donation from the donor before they release the matching amount.
Ideally, this optional field could be added on the campaign level and would also create an additional entry as a pledge with soft credit to the donor.
Pre-requisites:
- Adding Pledge Donations https://givebutter.canny.io/feature-requests/p/pledge-donations
- Add Company Name Field https://givebutter.canny.io/feature-requests/p/add-a-company-field-to-the-checkout-page

I like the Sponsor suggestion from Tori's post.

Maybe in the feed, there could be some graphic/badge that indicates the gift was double/tripled/whatever. The feed shows the gift as usual, but then below that something like, "Match Challenge! $50 Added to Gift". It could be in orange or some color that pops. When the match challenge is met, those badges don't get added anymore.

Some additional thoughts on this feature from a user:
- Givebutter could potentially provide sponsors for campaigns
- Sponsors can cover the fees for the campaign
- In exchange, sponsors are advertised throughout the campaign
