Customize automatic event reminders

I strongly support this. Customization needs to go beyond message content... we also need control over when it's sent, how many updates go out, who receives them, and whether it's sent by email or text.
Events often need arrival/parking/accessibility instructions, schedule or venue changes, auction or bidding instructions, virtual links, or urgent event-day updates beyond the fixed 24-hour and 1-hour reminders.
There's also a bigger problem: custom Engage messages follow marketing communication preferences, so an attendee who opted out of marketing may miss necessary event information. Right now the only workaround is exporting attendee data and using another platform.
I think these are related and should be considered together https://community.givebutter.com/raise/p/let-event-updates-to-reach-all-event-attendees-regardless-of-email-sms-communica. These two requests would let organizers control the content, timing, audience, and delivery of important event updates.

We only figured out some last minute details close to the event - I wish I could be editing the event reminder information.

I would like to see a separate field for the text of the Event Reminder. For some of our events, there may be sensitive info (e.g., a gate code) we want to share only after we're reviewed who has registered. Even if we included it in the thank-you/confirmation email they get after registering, some of our registrants won't be able to find that when they need it.
So, our current process:
- let people register and receive thank-you/confirmation without sensitive info
- monitor registrants
- let registration close and disable the link on our website to the relevant GB page
- update event details with sensitive info before reminder emails go out

I just had a big issue because we are selling raffle tickets and in person event tickets. The email that went out to everyone including people who just purchased a raffle ticket were told their "in person event ticket" was attached. ugh. I'd email just the raffle ticket holder but I have to include some event ticket holders as well because the segment told doesn't have excludes.- that's a whole different roadmap request.

We need to be able to adjust the text on the Event Reminder. It currently tells people to print out their ticket. We do not require a printed ticket and people are irritated when they arrive at events with the ticket and we don't need it. We have disabled all event reminders because of this which requires us to send reminders a different way which results in considerable extra work.

We need the ability to customize the automatic event reminders with our own text and images.

Cheryl Warner I completely agree.

Yes! I'm setting up an event with things happening at different times for different ticket groups. I would like for them all to get reminders, but I ended up turning those emails off so no one is confused.
