Agreed - we'd like to make changes to any Campaign setting (cost, custom fields, location, time, etc.) especially for type=event) through the API. Opening up your API would greatly expand the number of other possible integrations (Zapier, etc.) and make a lot more possible.
Taking a look at your private API through Chrome DevTools seems like you've already got a comprehensive API available, so opening this up for public API use would be fantastic.
