Apply Unique Constraint to Contact IDs in Engage Mailing Filters
K
Katrina Leonen
Since the purpose of filters in mailings is to generate a list of contacts (for a mailing), the final output should only list each person once.
Currently, the system is pulling a list of transactions and just attaching the contact info to each one, resulting in duplicates if a contact has multiple transactions in the specified time period.
Suggesting that the system's code should automatically apply a "unique" constraint to the Contact ID behind the scenes. A logic that translates to something like "If this Contact ID already exists on this list, don't add them again," regardless of how many donations they made.

To be precise, this occurs when using "Has transactions where date". As Katrina mentioned, even if there are 10 transactions in the time period, considering this is a mailer (email may have the same issue?) we only want each contact once.
