I've loved using Givebutter so far, but it really is problematic to have a donation receipt sent before we actually receive the check. I'd also like to see a way to highlight when a check is pending. I've already had multiple donors note that they are sending a check without me realizing it. Given that I input some checks that have been received and donors input when they are sending in check, having "check" noted on a report does not highlight which we have received and which we have not. Adding an extra field for "Check Received" that only an administrator can access would be very helpful.

My organization’s donors currently give by check, sending the automated acknowledgment confuses them because they prefer receiving a mailed acknowledgment. At the same time, we need their email addresses to send our newsletter and links to videos.
