Agreed as well! We use the events platform to host non-fundraising events. The option to donate within the registration process is great, but it's a bit overkill for our donor base who already support us. Thanks!

Agreed! We would like to be able to use this platform for our events that are in fact, donor appreciation events — but I can't send something that says "share fundraiser" if it's meant to be a private thank you event! :/

I'd love the option to remove the button entirely, as well as, being able to edit the verbiage. We sell tickets to classes and events that aren't fundraisers, so it's causing confusion with some of our potential customers.

I would love the option to remove the "share fundraiser" button. I am setting up a free donor stewardship event for an invite-only group, and I do not want the group sharing the link. Nor do I want them thinking that the event will have an ask.

This is a must-feature. Not all events are intended for fundraising. For that reason, there should be an option to edit the link, like the current button edit option. Also, from the brand standpoint, this could be problematic as it could appear that the event is to raise funds when that might not be the case.

definitely, this was my very first thought when i first saw the fundraiser page, i even just went back to the general form type because of this very issue

Second this, would be really nice to have this feature. Also would be nice to change the text of the button to "share event" instead of "share fundraiser" - we have events that aren't fundraisers but we still sell tickets too.
