More payout data for accounting purposes

For accounting purposes, it can be helpful to know which donations are associated with each payout and campaign's/account's starting + ending balances.
Note: This can be a big challenge if donations are refunded or otherwise changed after the payout is made.

We apologize for the long wait for this feature, and have been working on it behind the scenes for some time. We’re happy to let you all know that we are well on our way to launching this for everyone. To start however, it’ll become available on a rolling basis. Some of you may already have access to this feature in your Dashboards!

In an effort to roll this our sooner and to be as transparent as possible, we’ve decided to roll this feature out as we actively sync historical data to the payout detail report. This will take some time and means you may not see all your payout reports available today. If you reach out to our Support team, we may be able to prioritize your payouts in this process.
What’s next?
Once we complete our historical data sync, we’ll update this post to let everyone know. We hope to quickly thereafter improve the viewing experience of these reports. Please let us know how we can make it easier to read or export - we’d love to hear your ideas.

Identify the Transactions in a Payout

We need to know what Transactions make up a Payout so we can enter those Transactions into our CRM and export to QuickBooks. Currently, we wait until a Campaign ends to get the final Transaction report for the Campaign. That Campaign Transaction report has everything involved in the Campaign Payout total so we can safely enter those transactions into our CRM. If Givebutter had a Payout report that identified the Transactions making up the Payout, we could get payouts at any time with the correct list of transactions to put into our CRM.

Thanks for directing me on the new feature. I was hoping that report on transactional data would have columns like the standard Transaction report for a Campaign. The current report is a good start but I would want accounting fields we need for entering into our CRM like Campaign name and Fund name.

Liran Cohen: The payout report looks SO GOOD! I'm so excited to connect with our accountant to see if this report helps our teams collaborate on events. A quick suggestion: I would love to see what items are in the transaction amount. I know we can download the item breakdowns in the transaction reports, but it would be awesome to see that in this payout report as well. Just an idea as Givebutter continues to build out this feature. Thank you so much for incorporating this feature--it will save our team so much time in reporting!!

Liran Cohen: question. In our organization, our treasurer doesn't want anyone to have the ability to manage bank account at all. With current permission role, only admin has access to payout role so for everyone else, there isn't a way to get the payout report. Can something be done to help with that? Basically only lock the bank account management ability to admin rather than everything under payout tab

It is a burden to have to figure out the breakdown of payouts. It should be automated, with a report generated anytime a payout is requested. It is not as simple as date range, as some payments are pending, even if they are recorded within the range. It seems this has been a feature request for sometime, and I consider it critical.

Mark Hernandez: I agree! I wish there were some sort of update on when this is happening. I am seeing that it was marked as in progress at one time, but now progressed has stopped.
This is also critical for our organization. We love most aspects of Givebutter, but this feature has become quick a hassle for our weekly balancing. Wish I knew that this would be so complicated before we transitioned to Givebutter!

Transaction Report for Single Payout

Be able to export/sort the transactions report by payout, so the data for all donations associated with any one payout is easily accessible and organized on the same report (without having to sort through all transactions and payouts ever).
