Option to remove “No thanks, I’d just like to donate.” from Optional Donation slide
Selena Cayabyab
We’d love the ability to keep the Optional Donation slide enabled without displaying the “No thanks, I’d just like to donate” option.
Right now, the button is tied directly to the slide and can’t be removed without disabling the entire Optional Donation step. We want to maintain the upsell opportunity, but simplify the user journey and reduce potential drop-off by removing that extra option.
Use case: Fundraisers who want to encourage add-ons (like merch, raffles, tickets, etc.) but don’t want to prompt users to back out of the flow and skip them entirely.

The button is tiny and placed after the registration/ ticket information.

Design enhancements to "Can't Attend?, Donate!"
Tori Meglio
The "Can't Attend?, Donate!" button gets lost in Events campaigns with many ticket types. Make the feature sticky to the bottom of the tickets above and/or larger.

Is anyone addressing this issue? I don't see any admin replies or status updates. At the very least, change the wording so it's not so unprofessional and negative.

We're using Givebutter as a tool for professional event registrations. Attendees are utilizing a work card and therefore shouldn't be adding an additional gift. Looking forward to seeing this implemented soon!

ETA: Givebutter support said: "In the meantime, a possible workaround is to enhance the ticket description by adding an image with more details to it. This can help draw more attention to the ticket option and naturally push the donation slide button lower, making the ticket more prominent."
I'm honestly surprised this isn't a higher priority. It's a major UX design issue, in my opinion. We have 20+ events per year set up through Givebutter, and at least once per event there is someone who accidentally selects "No thanks, I'd just like to donate" instead of registering for a ticket. The button for "No thanks" is twice as large, bolder, AND more colorful-- of course someone on autopilot would select that instead of the tiny ticket amount dropdown! I'm getting ready for a big event on Sunday, and of 35 transactions, I've already found it happened 3 times- and I'm not even halfway through the list! I have to remember to carefully cross-check the transactions vs. tickets tab to catch this, then re-register the person and send them a follow-up email. It's very time-consuming for something that shouldn't even be an issue to begin with. Please give us the option to remove this, or at least redesign the ticketing page to make it more user friendly!

Ashlie Flood I couldn't agree with this comment anymore. We need this option to remove this button! This is making me look to other platforms for my giving and event options.

I appreciate that this feature is planned. Are there any updates available regarding the timing of its release?
