International bank / payout support (General)
Max Friedman
This is a catch-all post for international bank support. Note that Givebutter currently only allows for US bank accounts to be used for withdrawals and all transactions are processed in USD, but people can still donate from anywhere in the world.

Dear Givebutter Management and Product Team,
I am writing to you as the founder of Himam Khadra (GEFD), a humanitarian organization in Yemen. While I appreciate your support team's transparency regarding current Stripe limitations, I would like to propose a strategic "Manual Payout" pilot program for highly vetted organizations like ours.
Currently, your "International Bank Support" feature request has reached 538 votes, indicating a massive untapped market of changemakers. As a verified and eligible nonprofit on Goodstack, we offer a unique opportunity for Givebutter to test a secure, manual payout process for international entities.
Proposed Solution for Vetted Humanitarian Missions:
KYC via Goodstack: Since we have already passed the rigorous vetting process of Goodstack, Givebutter can rely on this third-party verification to mitigate risk.
Manual SWIFT Payouts: For organizations in conflict zones where Stripe is unavailable, we propose a manual wire transfer (SWIFT) directly to our official corporate bank account in Yemen.
USD Processing Compliance: Since your platform already processes all transactions in USD, a direct wire transfer would maintain financial consistency.
Operational Coverage: GEFD is willing to bear all additional administrative and wire transfer fees to facilitate this humanitarian exception.
You currently allow people to donate from anywhere in the world; bridging the gap to allow those funds to reach the ground in Yemen would position Givebutter as a true leader in global humanitarian tech.
We invite you to consider GEFD as a pilot case. Our mission to help children disabled by war cannot wait for a product roadmap update.
I look forward to discussing how we can make this work together.
Best regards,

We are an international non-profit and would like to use Givebutter for all of our members/donors. Is there a workaround until multiple currencies are accepted?

Could I suggest that you change the way you state that it has to be a United States bank on your site? Currently, it looks like you can only give an ACH payment through the bank that is called US Bank. This is confusing.

Can you explain how they can donate? In the address section, they are required to insert a US state. But they do not have a US address.
