Turn your Wix website into a fundraising hub, no code required 🧈
Adding Givebutter to a Wix site used to mean generating an embed snippet, creating a custom element, and pasting in a server URL. Not anymore.
Two things changed. The Givebutter app now installs directly into your Wix editor — drag a donation block onto any page, connect it to a campaign, and publish. The block picks up your site's fonts and colors on its own, so it looks like it belongs there. And if you don't have a website yet, you can now create one from your Givebutter dashboard.
Add donations to your Wix site
Install the app from your Givebutter dashboard, where Wix now sits at the top of your integrations list, or search "Givebutter" in the Wix App Market. Sign in once to connect your accounts, then choose the site you're adding donations to. Drag the donation block where you want it. It connects to your most recent campaign by default, and you can switch campaigns any time from the editor.

Or create a new site from Givebutter
Go to your integrations settings and sign in to Wix. Wix's AI builds your site from your latest campaign, with the donate button already on the homepage. Customize it however you want, then publish.
Already using the old embed?
Install the app and add the new donation block where you want it. Once it's live on your page, you can remove the old custom element. Your campaign and donation history stay exactly as they are — and if you'd rather have a hand with the switch, our support team can walk you through it.
Donations still run through Givebutter
Gifts, receipts, recurring plans, and donor records all land in your Givebutter account. Wix is never in the payment flow.
Good to know
- Desktop setup is recommended for the best experience.
- Available to only U.S. nonprofits.
- One Wix connection per Givebutter account.
- A Wix Premium plan is required for a custom domain, multiple campaign widgets, and removing Givebutter branding.
- Only the person who connected Wix can create a new site from Givebutter.
- Widgets you add through Wix are marked in your Givebutter dashboard, and you'll see a warning before deleting one that's still connected to your Wix site.
